The Millennium Centre is delighted to announce the launch of a new service that will help local people find information about health and social care quicker and easier.
St Helens Gateway is a community hub of information; bringing together all health, social care and wellbeing information and services into one central place.
For example, it can point you in the right direction if you are looking to find health information or services, access services for vulnerable adults, search for counselling, a local support or someone to talk to, or if you’re looking to improve your wellbeing or make positive changes to your lifestyle.
Anthony Richards MBE, Executive Director of the Millennium Centre, commented “Health and social care information in St Helens can be fragmented and confusing, and often people are passed from pillar to post or they just don’t know where to turn. This new service will help signpost people to the right places and provide them with the information that they need.”
St Helens Gateway is an independent, confidential and free service provided by local charity the Millennium Centre, and is available to access online at www.sthelensgateway.info, by e-mail at contact@sthelensgateway.info, over the phone on 01744 675 137 or face-to-face at the Millennium Centre reception.
In addition to providing an information service, St Helens Gateway raises awareness of local services and encourages early interventions to reduce the likelihood of people developing long-term health problems.
